My Kindle Holder
I’m pretty new to the Kindle game, but I wanted to share a recent purchase that has already upped my ebook reading by quite a margin: this nifty holder.
Reading in bed is one of my favorite ways to wind down for the day, and I love that I can read on my Kindle Paperwhite without having to have all the bright lights on. However (and, I know this is the epitome of champagne problems) sometimes it’s tough to find a good angle to read from, or my arms get cold holding up the Kindle.
Enter: the Kindle arm.
I love that this mounts with an adjustable clamp, which is quite sturdy, and easy to work. I also appreciate that the Kindle holder part itself can expand — I think I could also use this to watch TV in bed on my iPad if I wanted!
A couple of small drawbacks, though:
The arm wobbles a bit whenever I touch the Kindle to turn a page. A tradeoff of its flexibility, I guess.
When I first opened the box, I thought this was too big for my Kindle! Turned out, I just had to flip the holder part so that the bars held my Kindle from top to bottom, not side to side.
I also had to position the Kindle a bit off-center in the holder so that I could access the on/off switch. Not a huge deal, but just something to be aware of if you really like things to be perfectly centered.
To complete this setup, I’m looking at some bluetooth page turners like this so that I can be truly hands free… hopefully this helps when I’m newly postpartum later this fall in case I get “nap trapped” and want to read!
